Mission Impact & Financials

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation® (PBTF, EIN/Tax Identification Number: 58-1966822) is committed to leading the way toward a future without childhood cancer. Because of supporters’ generosity, advocacy, and encouragement, thousands of families turn to us each year and find the resources and community support they need on their cancer journey.

Read the stories in our most recent Annual Impact Report on Issuu to see how your support of our mission helps us:

  • Fund promising early-stage research and clinical trials. Every dollar we invest in research attracts 12 dollars in follow-on funding.
  • Advocate for an emphasis on pediatric health in both federal and state-level health policy.
  • Direct family support resources to areas where the need is greatest and where each dollar can make the most difference.

Financial Stewardship

Achieving our vision of a world without childhood brain tumors demands strong financial stewardship, an aggressive strategy, and expert insight.

A federally registered 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation exceeds industry standards and performs better or as well as most charities in our field with a  4-Star Charity Navigator rating,  accreditation from the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance, and the  GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, their highest level of recognition demonstrating our commitment to transparency, making progress and getting results. Furthermore, the PBTF’s Research Advisory Network, comprised of the top childhood brain tumor experts, and continual input from the families we serve help strategically shape our mission programs for maximum impact.
