Alyson Levine

Chief Development Officer

Alyson (Aly) Levine is a fundraising professional with over 20 years of experience leading nonprofit programs. She currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at PBTF. Throughout her mission-driven career, Aly has dedicated herself to health organizations focused on causes such as type 1 diabetes, substance use disorder, and pediatric brain tumors. She has worked across various development functions, including fundraising programs, major gifts, volunteer engagement, corporate engagement, and board development. Aly has helped organizations of all sizes amplify their missions by analyzing data to develop strategies, implementing efficient systems for growth, and mobilizing staff and volunteers to support causes that align with their values and aspirations.

Through her work on various fundraising campaigns, Aly has significantly increased revenue, built authentic relationships, improved donor retention, acquired new year-round supporters, and fostered strong community and corporate partnerships. She has also built infrastructure and developed comprehensive national strategic plans to engage donors and prospects effectively. Additionally, Aly has managed an $80+ million budget that drove transformation and integration across an organization’s program areas.

For Aly, fundraising is more than just a career—it is a calling. She often remarks, “What other job offers the incredible opportunity to see people at their very best, making a real difference in someone else’s life?” Aly considers it a privilege to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners on causes that deeply resonate with her. Being part of an organization with a meaningful mission continually inspires her and reinforces the profound impact that collective efforts can create.

On a personal level, Aly is known for her ability to quickly connect with others. People often feel they know her before they actually do, which helps her build relationships with ease.

Aly is a daughter, sister, wife, and friend who deeply values her family—both immediate and extended—and is often the go-to person for those in crisis. While she hates to cook, she loves to eat and enjoys a great cup of coffee, a glass of wine, and a good challenge (though not necessarily in that order). With a photographic memory, she finds it difficult to choose a last meal but debates between sushi and a perfect slice of New York pizza—folded, of course.

Aly doesn’t like to “sit still.” When she’s not raising money, she stays active. She recently ran in the 2024 NYC Marathon and is known to cycle 100 miles in remote areas like Death Valley, California. She resides in Warwick, NY (just north of NYC) with her husband and their two dogs: Gunner, a 90-pound golden retriever with a gentle personality despite his tough name, and Sutton, a spirited miniature schnauzer with a personality that exceeds his size.

Aly is full of energy and highly competitive but thrives in a team environment. She is honest, curious, and constantly asks questions to better understand people and processes. Growing up, she was taught the importance of giving back, leaving things better than she found them, and reflecting on whether true altruism exists, as selflessness often brings the deepest sense of gratitude.
