Stephen Walker
Marketing Operations Manager
Stephen Walker is Marketing Operations Manager at the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. In this foundation-wide role, he oversees marketing operations, including content creation, email and SMS campaigns, and strategic initiatives to raise awareness, drive fundraising, and support families affected by pediatric brain tumors. His efforts help amplify PBTF’s mission to advance research, provide resources, and build community engagement nationwide.
After witnessing his wife Heather’s courageous struggle with brain cancer, Stephen felt compelled to change careers and dedicate his life to giving back. This deeply personal connection fuels his passion for PBTF’s mission, underscoring the urgent need for more of everything—more research, more funding, more treatments, and more caregiver support. Before joining PBTF, Stephen channeled this dedication into raising over $786,000 for brain cancer research through a fund established at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Heather’s honor.
Prior to his current position, Stephen served as Campaign Manager for PBTF’s athletics-based fundraising program, Vs. Cancer, where he partnered with sports organizations and teams at all levels nationwide to raise vital funds and awareness through sponsored games, athlete hospital visits, and memorable, team-focused experiences for patient families.
Stephen draws daily inspiration from the families he meets through PBTF and the connections he forms with those who share experiences similar to his. He is passionate about raising awareness of the critical work done by PBTF and finds joy in inspiring others to take meaningful action.
A resident of Marblehead, Massachusetts, a coastal town rich in Revolutionary War history and the birthplace of the U.S. Navy, Stephen enjoys outdoor adventures, especially snowboarding. He is a proud father of two volleyball-playing daughters, who are his greatest source of joy and inspiration.
