Ride Your Way... for the Kids

The legacy of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation Ride for Kids began when two motorcyclists from Atlanta, Mike and Dianne Traynor, mobilized their riding community to support a local child diagnosed with a brain tumor. What began as a single ride organized by the Traynor’s quickly ignited a nationwide movement of purpose-driven riders and supporters united in the fight against pediatric brain tumors.

Today, PBTF remains grounded in that same spirit, that when you give people the freedom to make an impact their way, incredible things happen. So whether you’re organizing a ride from scratch, turning an existing event into a fundraiser, or rallying your community around a cause that matters — the creativity, the control, and the possibilities are yours. No matter the pace or the place, you’re part of one collective movement, riding toward the same finish line — a world without pediatric brain tumors.

Check out the creative ways PBTF Ride for Kids supporters across the country are finding their own ways to rally their friends, families, and communities, all for the kids.

Car Show 4 Kids

Now in its 14th year, Ed and Pennie of Puyallup, Washington are still turning their love of cars into their love of helping kids. Their annual Car Show 4 Kids — complete with prizes, auctions, awards, and food trucks — has grown from one couple’s dedication into a community tradition that rallies car enthusiasts and families together to raise funds for children facing brain tumors.

Zoar Motopark

The team at Zoar Motopark in Upstate New York is turning their passion for motorcycling and adventure into something bigger. More than just a track, Zoar Motopark is the ultimate destination for adrenaline junkies. This September 25th, they’re channeling that energy toward kids with brain tumors — hosting their first-ever event benefiting the PBTF and marking the beginning of what promises to be a new annual tradition, uniting riders around a shared love of the sport and a shared commitment to making a difference.

Why We Ride for Kids

This multi-day, high-touch, destination ride — capped off by a banquet dinner and auction, is organized and hosted by Bryan Carroll, James Walker, and the Why We Ride team, and has raised over $200,000, showing that sharing a love of riding and putting miles toward a greater purpose can change lives for kids with brain tumors.

“Dear Friends and Family” Campaign

Darrell B., a long-time Ride for Kids supporter, turns his love for riding into his love for writing — sending monthly letters to his friends and family, sharing how he is turning his miles into mission and how their support makes a real impact for kids with brain tumors.

Sling Experience

Team Slingin’ for a Cure in Houston, Texas didn’t reinvent the wheel — they just leveraged it even better!  By layering fundraising elements into an already thriving Slingshot-only event, complete with raffles, auctions, food, and local sponsors —they prove that when you rally a community built on passion and point it toward purpose, the kids win. Worth Motorcycles & Litas Moto Collective

This all-female riding collective didn’t need a big budget or a grand plan — just a shared passion and a willingness to show up for the kids. Through an open house, moto movie night, and technology seminar, they created an experience their community wanted to be part of — and simply asked attendees to give. Proof that sometimes the most powerful fundraising tool is bringing people together around what they already love.
